Traditional Mooncake Recipes

Mooncakes are a staple during the Chinese Moon Festival, which lands on September 27th this year. They are round like a full moon which is a symbol of peace, prosperity, and reunion for the whole family. Eating mooncakes is a way to express familial love and best wishes for harmonious and well-rounded lives. Many grocery stores sell mooncakes in the international foods aisle, but making your own is a great way to bond with your student!

Below are four recipes we’ve found online. If you try any of them, be sure to let us know how they came out on our Facebook or Twitter pages!
